ACU High Performance Basketball Program Trials

ACU Sport High Performance Basketball Program provides an opportunity for students to be part of a development pathway while achieving success in their academic lives.  
During the inaugural year of the program, we are inviting students from ACU’s Melbourne and Ballarat campuses to be the next generation of student-athletes to represent ACU in purple and red. ACU HP Basketball Program will be the stepping stone to entering the University Basketball League (UBL) in 2023 

About the Program 
The ACU Sport High Performance Basketball Program, led by Head Coach Matthew Shanahan (3-time NBL Championship player and 419 games), will select both a men’s and women’s 10-person squad, set to represent the University in a range of intervarsity and UniSport events and competitions throughout the year. 
Squad members will gain access to: 

• personalised strength and conditioning programs with ACU’s accredited Exercise Scientists 
• on-campus ACU Active gym 
• one-on-one coaching sessions 
• team training sessions 

Squad members will be eligible to represent ACU at UniSport 3x3 and Nationals Div 1 & 2, competing in the 5x5 competition. 

How to apply 
Current ACU students will be required to complete the 2022 ACU Sport High Performance Basketball Program expression of interest form and attend trials
