Singers and instrumentalists are invited to join us for what has become a beautiful ACU tradition, carolling at St. Vincent’s Hospital. It is a wonderful way to bring comfort and joy to the sick and make a gift of our talents. This year (2025) we will be carolling at St Vincent's on TUESDAY morning, 9 December. The carolling will be led by music education specialist(s). The lyrics will be provided and music reading skills are not necessary. The only requirement is your eagerness to share the joy of Christmas with others!

If you wish to play an instrument, please make note of this when you register so that music can be prepared for you as needed. 

Note: SAVE THE DATE -- There could be an ADDITIONAL opportunity to participate in carolling on Thursday 4 December, at/before Mass (preceding the Melbourne Campus Staff Christmas Party). A separate Event will be set up closer to the date. 

SCHEDULE

Optional: Attend rehearsal with ACU Choir & Orchestra, usually held Mondays 12-1PM or Tuesdays 5-6:30PM in the Music Room, 420-LG-20. Check "Events" HERE for specifics and updates. 

TUES DEC 9, 2025 - ACU carolling at St Vincent's Hospital
Optional: wear festive attire, e.g., Santa hat, tinsel boa

 

First: Gather at ACU

•  9:30am -  meet at ACU at the top of the escalator, Level G, St Teresa of Kolkata Building (building 421, 115B Victoria Pde) for music sheets/books distribution and a quick rehearsal. 
• 10:10am - group photo in front of the Christmas tree at ACU (top of the escalator)
• 10:15am - Walk together to St Vincent's Hospital (41 Victoria Parade)

If you need to miss the rehearsal, that's okay.
 

Then: ST VINCENT'S HOSPITAL

• 10:25am - meet at St Vincent's Hospital in the foyer of the Main Hospital.
• 10:30am - Sing in the foyer. Then, staff from the hospital will escort us through wards for carolling, including: Rehab and GEM.
• 11:30am - Light refreshments provided.
• 12:00pm - approx. end time. 

NOTE: anyone is welcome to join us. If you have a partner, family member or friend who wants to come along, please share the link to this Event and ask them to RSVP, or you may include them in your response. You can also add details in the comment box after you select "RSVP" (scroll down).
