Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the First Peoples Building Excellence Awards, students must have: โ๏ธ A Confirmation of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander descent on record or โ๏ธ A statutory declaration and a community support letter.

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous), with support from the Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP), is inviting Expressions of Interest for funding to attend 2025 conferences.
This opportunity is designed to support emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders by enhancing leadership skills, fostering professional growth, and strengthening academic journeys.
Through conference participation, students can gain valuable knowledge, build networks, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
This payment supports school leavers in regional and remote areas with their relocation to commence tertiary study. The payment is part of the Job-ready Graduates higher education reforms package and the Government response to the National Regional, Rural and Remote Tertiary Education Strategy (Napthine Review).
