Mission
The North Sydney Debating Society will aim to promote the significance of critical thinking and
public speaking as part of the ‘pursuit of knowledge’. We will seek to push members of the club to question what is considered ‘truth’ and explore and articulate the themes of the ‘common good’ from various perspectives.

Membership Benefits
1. Weekly Structured Debates – Regular practice in formal debating formats to sharpen rhetorical skill, logic, and quick thinking.

2. Workshops & Speaker Sessions – Access to training in argumentation, public speaking, and research from experienced debaters and guest lecturers.
