Hi all,
In recognition of IDAHOBIT we are partnering with the ACU Ally Network and ACULife to enjoy some sweet treats and raise money for Meridian. This will be happening during the common hour tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd of May in the Blackfriars Garden.
IDAHOBIT marks the anniversary of the day the WHO removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems on May 17th, 1990. This time every year provides a chance to help educate people, raise awareness of the discrimination that still exists and combat misinformation.
For over 30 years, Meridian has led the way to responding to health issues affecting LGBTIQA+ people, sex workers and people living with and impacted by HIV. They continue to provide support and assistance to vulnerable members of our communities. Please help us continue their work by making a tax-deductible donation. We will provide a QR code link at the event, but if you cannot attend and still wish to donate, please do so here.
It would be great to see people there and to stand against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination together as members of the community, allies, students, teachers and staff.
