About us

We are located upon Wadawurrung Country at ACU Ballarat's Aquinas campus; a small campus which boasts a variety of other faculty and non-faculty societies. Our society was created for Ballarat students in the paramedicine discipline, named through the combination of our faculty and campus name: Par(amedicine) + Aquinas = Paraquinas.

"Paraquinas - Ballarat Student Paramedic Society" is run by student volunteers from various year levels, who help bring you exciting events throughout the academic year.

Working in affiliation with the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine (VIC), we aim to run regular professional development events for students that are fun, informative, and provide valuable insight into paramedic careers.

Although our society was established for Ballarat paramedicine students, we don't discriminate who can join us. Anyone can join our society and attend our events, regardless of whether you are a paramedicine student, student from another discipline, staff member or non-ACU individual.
