Allied Health Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cadetships
A Cadet is employed as a temporary part time employee in their chosen profession, gaining on the job skill development while completing their full-time tertiary studies for a Health Practitioner qualification in Australia.
Cadets work under the delegation and supervision of a Health Professional in their field to provide effective patient care. Cadetships will be available across all Metro North services facilities including Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital, Community and Oral Health and Mental Health Services.
Cadetship positions will be available in Physiotherapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Oral Health, Nutrition and Dietetics, exercise physiology, pharmacy, medical imaging and podiatry.
Students can apply for a cadetship at any year of their university course and continue the program through to graduation when we aim to employ them as new graduates.
Cadets also receive an allowance of $13,000 through our Government Partner AFL Sports Ready.
