Conaci scholars make headlines in the Vatican

Our very own Away from Base, Bachelor of Midwifery student Raylene Pennay was awarded the 2023 Francis Xavier Conaci Scholarship shared with Tyahn Bell from our Canberra Campus. 

Both shared their experience as Australian First Nations University Students with the Vatican News. Speaking directly on their hopes for the future of Indigenous Australians, including the current discussions about the Voice to Parliament, and what they plan to do after their scholarship to Rome. 

 

Careers Day

National Outreach Officer, Sandy Boyd hosted a Careers Day on Campus during NAIDOC Week.  With members of ACU Students, Staff and Community Members enjoying the festivities.

I'm delighted to announce that proud Kamilaroi man - Lachlan Tomkins joins us in Weemala.  He was a graduate of ACU Brisbane Campus and a fine Student Ambassador. Lachlan has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and has been working as a Primary School Teacher since 2019.
