Dear First_Name

Spring is in the air! Get excited as we farewell what was a frosty winter. The weather is warming up, longer days and balmy nights mean there’s a renewed motivation to get social, move your body and engage in life on campus. What can you do differently to embrace Active August? Still thinking about joining a club? It's not too late. Change is in the air and it’s a great excuse to try something new!

This year's Sustainability Week is 'renewability.' To celebrate renewability, Student Life, Campus Ministry and ACUSport are hosting a community closet.

Students and staff are invited to donate their clean, pre-loved clothing, books and sporting goods to the Student Life office (613.G.27 on the quad - look for the orange octopus!) any time leading up to the event. All donations will be sorted and displayed on the quad for this event - like our very own pop-up op shop!

Peruse the donations, donate something yourself, and take an item to upcycle into your own life! All remaining donations will be given to our local Vinnie's, who will have a representative on-site for the event.

In addition to *new* clothes, books, and sporting items to bring home to your closet, we will have a free vegetarian food truck on campus for the duration of the event, while supplies last! Come down for spring rolls and cheese arancini balls.

Once you've found an item or two you love and you've had a delicious veggie feed, you'll also be able to plant and take home your own basil plant. Once it sprouts, there is no more going to the store for plastic-wrapped herbs - and you've just made your kitchen that much more sustainable!

ACU hoop dreams

We want to know where our basketballers are. ACU Sport is looking at possible inclusion in the University Basketball League (UBL) and wants to better understand the who, what, where and when of students who ball. If you play, have played or love basketball we'd love to hear from you.
Complete the two-minute survey and tell us where you ball.

Thanksgiving Liturgy

In Week 5, Campus Ministry and the School of Physiotherapy will be engaged in a Thanksgiving Liturgy for the generosity of body donors who give of themselves in the form of body donation.  Donors and their families freely give such a precious part of themselves in order to assist students to develop necessary knowledge and skills in their learning in order to assist others.  We remember these donors and their families at this time and we also think of our Physiotherapy students on campus who benefit from such a generous gift.
For more information contact tanya.kehoe@acu.edu.au.
