The semester wheels are well and truly turning once again, and we hope you’re travelling well so far. Being mid-winter you are no doubt enjoying the great indoor spaces on campus more than usual, and hopefully the wide variety of free activities, food and club/society events is making your time on campus worthwhile. Monday 8 August is a big day as it's the feast day of St Mary MacKillop – Australia's only saint and the patron saint of our university. We invite you to get involved in the campus celebrations. St Mary famously said, “never see a need without doing something about it”, so how’s that for a challenge in your day to day life?
Week 4 makes us quesadilla, but the que and illa are silent....no worries come down to the community courtyard for some quesadillas and hopefully we can help you turn that frown around
We have lots of exciting events planned for you! Make sure to sign up to our Student Life Brisbane page on ACULife so you see when we have free food, craft events, parties and much more.
The Ekka Public Holiday is just around the corner on 10 August. The Ekka is Queensland's largest annual event and your greatest chance throughout the year to find out what life on the farm is really about.
Time to move
On Wednesday 17 August, ACU Sport is holding a Move-A-Thon across all ACU campuses. Join us for stretch and core at 8am for your chance to win – the more you move the more you can win so make sure you attend as many activities as possible. We'll have plenty of free food and prizes up for grabs for those participating on the day. Register to find out more
