Spring is in the air and that means you’re almost half-way through Semester 2. As the seasons change, it’s a great reminder to embrace something new. Why not get involved in your student association? You will help to create wonderful university experiences for your fellow students and voice the ideas of the entire student body. Elections for your national and campus student association are upon us. Nominations open on 13 September and close on 27 September. Now is your chance to get involved and become a student leader for 2024. Check out all the election information on the Student Portal. Improve your campus and enhance your CV at the same time.
Join us as we unpack our theme, 'we are ACU' with festivities, free morning tea and for guest speaker and winner of last year's Young Australian of the Year, Daniel Nour, live-streaming in to share what mission means to him and how his mission has been carried out in the world!
This event is for anyone (staff or students) who are looking for a moment to reconnect with themselves. If you’re interested in asking some big questions, like what does it mean to be human, whilst having a heap of fun by exploring the mind, body, and spirit connection through a bodyweight circuit routine, playing volleyball and some guided reflection and meditation in the chapel.
This week we celebrate Mission Week at ACU. An integral element of our mission is recognising every person's human dignity and inestimable value. This understanding springs from our Catholic tradition, which says that we are all unique and made in the image of God. A small way we animate this principle on our campuses is through our random acts of kindness. So keep an eye out for us this Thursday.
Springtime is coming
Winter is drawing to a close and Spring is coming - and the great weather means lots of events on campus. Mission Week and Sustainability Week have plenty of events including Mission Week BBQ where you can let us know what mission means to you, and then a tasty vegetarian BBQ feast in Sustainability Week. Also, we will be making father's day cards and you can print a photo from your phone for dad. See you on campus.
Join STEPtember and support a great cause

Cyber safety coming to your campus soon
Your campus will be the next to have its student accounts protected by multi-factor authentication. ACU’s top priority is the safety of its students, which includes cyber safety. ACU is protecting all students accounts with multi-factor authentication (MFA) over the course of 2023. Keep an eye on your inbox for instructions. Or refer to the AskACU article What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) at ACU? to learn more.
Know your rights in a share house
Living in a shared house is enjoyable, but safeguarding your rights as a tenant is crucial. Renting with multiple people entails shared costs and duties. In private rentals, secure a detailed lease specifying rent, utilities, lease duration, maintenance, leaving early terms, and eviction scenarios. Sub-letting is legal in Australia with landlord consent. If you need tenancy support, contact ACU’s Rental Advisory Service.
