Date: August 7, 2022
Subject: Week 3 & 4

Dear First_Name

The semester wheels are well and truly turning once again, and we hope you’re travelling well so far. Being mid-winter you are no doubt enjoying the great indoor spaces on campus more than usual, and hopefully the wide variety of free activities, food and club/society events is making your time on campus worthwhile. Monday 8 August is a big day as it's the feast day of St Mary MacKillop – Australia's only saint and the patron saint of our university. We invite you to get involved in the campus celebrations. St Mary famously said, “never see a need without doing something about it”, so how’s that for a challenge in your day to day life?

Settling into semester

Hopefully, you have settled into your classes.  For us, it has been great to see some new and old faces back on campus. We have a few great events on in the coming weeks and are excited to have you come along if you are free. One event that many residential students find appealing is our residence dinner. Feel free to come along to the first Res Dinner of Semester 2.

The Campus Ministry Office is open for visits, and if you haven’t met Tanya yet, come and say hi.  Make sure to keep up to date with our Insta for all of our events.

Movie night

From the writer/ director of Get Out comes Nope. This promises to be one of the best movies of 2022 and Student Life and Regent Cinema are proud to partner up to offer 50 students a private screening on Tuesday 16 August at 7.35pm.

For just $10 each you will get your ticket, popcorn and a drink. ACU students are welcome to buy a ticket for friends. Watch the trailer on IMDB and buy a ticket for ACU Ballarat’s private screening.

Save the date

On Wednesday 17 August ACU Sport will hold a Move-A-Thon across all ACU campuses and we'd like to invite you to participate and get moving! A variety of activities will be held on each campus with some online options available.
We'll have plenty of free food and prizes to give out on the day.
