Spring is in the air! Get excited as we farewell what was a frosty winter. The weather is warming up, longer days and balmy nights mean there’s a renewed motivation to get social, move your body and engage in life on campus. The event you've been waiting for - bring your pets! Campus Ministry in collaboration with Student Life and MCASA, will be hosting the annual blessing of the animals - with a petting zoo, BBQ pancakes, live music, stalls and more!
You are invited to commute to university in the most sustainable way possible and join us for a healthy breakfast at The Track. As part of Sustainability Week at ACU this day is to help you focus on ways to minimise your footprint in small but meaningful ways. This might mean walking, cycling, catching public transport, maybe parking further away or doing a ride share. We've got a bike maintenance workshop planned during the breakfast so bring your questions.
Some days at uni can feel long and often we just need that little break out in the sunshine and fresh air to kick us back into gear. Join us at the basketball hoop outside the JPII building each Thursday afternoon for a friendly game of basketball. A fun way to meet others and get some extra motivation for uni work! New clubs
Beautiful winter weather at the moment in Brisbane – lots of students are enjoying the red canvas chairs on the main lawn area. Student Life is working hard to connect with students via our free lunches and other events. There has recently been interest in a variety of ideas for new clubs based around yoga, learn the guitar, impro’ drama and music jam sessions. More details will become available soon as these discussions continue. Enjoy your time on campus
Social basketball is back
Have you got a break between classes on a Wednesday? Come down to the ACU Brisbane multipurpose court for a friendly, no strings attached basketball game between 12 - 1pm. Come along each week, or just turn up when you're available. Absolutely no commitment or cost involved. All levels of experience are welcome.
Pilates classes
Stretch, strengthen and de-stress with our ACU Active Pilates sessions. Throughout Semester 2 we will be running Pilates sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 12pm-12:50pm in the ACU Gym - 211.G.05.
