Can you feel that slight chill in the air now that we’re into May? We are definitely at the business end of the semester now, so hoping you’re happily ticking off assignments and other tasks in the lead up to exams. Enjoy engaging with the variety of pop-up and planned activities available on campus provided by the co-curricular teams. No doubt the clubs and societies to which you belong will also be connecting with you. Become a ‘Hot Shot’, grab some free food, sharpen up your Finska skills or take a reflective moment in the chapel – it’s all possible at ACU.
Now's your chance to tell us - the good, the bad, the ugly - how have we done this semester. What could we do better? What should we do differently? Tell us the truth and we'll provide yummy chicken to you.
Blacktown now has an air hockey table - come down to The Track to play other students in a game of air hockey. The winner will receive a $20 gift card.
Get your geek on (we know you’re out there) and join us for Star Wars, popcorn, Fantales and fairy floss in the Moot Court on 4 May from 10am to12.30pm. Convince us, in 200 words or less, that your favourite Star Wars movie is the best, and not only will we show that movie but you could also win a $50 ZING! voucher. Enter today or we’ll be watching The Phantom Menace, and that’s a threat.
Push-up challenge
Looking for a fun and challenging way to improve your fitness and support a great cause at the same time? Look no further than the push-up challenge! This annual event encourages participants to complete a set number of push-ups every day for 25 days, while raising money and awareness for mental health initiatives across Australia. Join the ACU Sport Team and take up the challenge.
Lest we forget...
ANZAC Campus Commemoration was a wonderful ceremony! Thank you to all who came and to all who made the event possible. HMAS Arunta Catafalque Party came to march while a young trumpeter from St. Patrick's Strathfield College played The Last Post. Students and staff gathered around to pray, reflect and commemorate our ANZACS, with rosemary in hand and were farewelled with ANZAC biscuits! We will remember them. Lest we forget.
