The semester wheels are well and truly turning once again, and we hope you’re travelling well so far. Being mid-winter you are no doubt enjoying the great indoor spaces on campus more than usual, and hopefully the wide variety of free activities, food and club/society events is making your time on campus worthwhile. Monday 8 August is a big day as it's the feast day of St Mary MacKillop – Australia's only saint and the patron saint of our university. We invite you to get involved in the campus celebrations. St Mary famously said, “never see a need without doing something about it”, so how’s that for a challenge in your day to day life?
Looking for a way to get active this semester? Let off some study steam and hustle the squad for some friendly competition at our lunchtime social sport sessions at The Showground and Courts (Francis Park) Blacktown every Wednesday.
Come watch Yaba Kerker Otaba's Torres Strait Islander dance performance followed by a delicious afternoon tea at Blacktown Campus for NAIDOC Week - all in collaboration with Student Life and Campus Ministry.
On Wednesday 17 August, ACU Sport is holding a Move-A-Thon across all ACU campuses. Join us for Martial Arts at 9am – the more you move the more you can win so make sure you attend your on-campus activity as well as our online sessions with ACU Active. Community closet
Student Life is teaming up with Campus Ministry and ACU Sport for a Community Closet event as part of ACU sustainability week during Week 5, 22-26 August. This year's sustainability week theme is 'renewability.' For this event, we will be collecting clean, pre-loved clothes from students and staff to have out on the quad for students to peruse and recycle into their own wardrobes. If you have any clothing, books, or sporting goods to donate, please bring these items to our desk block on level 5 (near the boardroom) by 24 August (the sooner the better). Spare hangers would also be greatly appreciated.

Campus Ministry and Student Life are moving to the Ground Floor - come and check out our new office and join us for some tea and coffee!
In the coming weeks, we are collaborating with Yalbalinga to bring belated NAIDOC celebrations to Campus.
Join us on Wednesday 10 August from 1pm on the Ground Floor to watch Yaba Kerker Otaba's Torres Strait Islander dance performance followed by afternoon tea from Kallico Catering.
