How to apply to course complete?

When you are nearing the end of your course, you will be sent a confirmation email if you have been identified as potentially eligible to course complete.

If you did not receive an email and believe you have completed the requirements of your course, or wish to exit with a different award, you will need to complete an Application to Course Complete form via Student Connect.

To apply to course complete:

  • Log in to Student Connect
  • Select My Course Completion
  • Select Apply for Course Completion
  • Your current course name will appear, as well as your current major/s
    note: if your major/s is incorrect, please correct it before completing the next steps
  • Select the available Course Completion Term
  • If you intend to complete with a different course, you can then enter the correct course name
  • Once you have confirmed the information in the checkboxes, hit Submit
  • Confirmation will appear in Student Connect. You will also receive a confirmation email sent to your ACU student email account.

You can check the status of your assessment for course completion by logging into Student Connect and selecting the ‘Course Completion’ tab. If the information is incorrect (e.g. incorrect major is listed), please email course.completion@acu.edu.au with your name, and student number, and provide the correct information.

 

When do I apply to course complete? 

If you did not receive an email to advise that you have been identified as potentially eligible to course complete, but you believe your eligibility should be assessed, you will need to complete an Application to Course Complete form via Student Connect.

You should complete this form:

  • by 16 June if you are finishing your course at the end of Semester 1 or Winter Term
  • by 30 September if you are finishing your course at the end of Semester 2 or Summer Term.

Please note that Summer term enrolment does not guarantee eligibility to attend an Autumn graduation ceremony, and Winter term enrolment does not guarantee eligibility to attend a Spring graduation ceremony. Eligibility is dependent on you meeting the applicable course completion deadlines, which are published each semester on the Graduations tab within the Student Portal, select 'Pre-graduation' then ‘Register to graduate’.

If you have missed the date to apply for course completion, you will need to contact your Course Coordinator to check that you have met the requirements of your course.

 

What happens once I have been assessed for course completion? 

When your results are published at the end of your term of study, your Course Coordinator will assess and confirm if you have met the requirements of your course. 

You will receive an email to your ACU student email, notifying you of the outcome of your Course Coordinator's assessment. 

If your Course Coordinator has confirmed that you have successfully met the requirements of your course, you will be issued a digital copy of your transcript via My eQuals. If you require a hard copy official academic transcript, you can purchase one in person at the AskACU Centre or by completing the Academic Transcript Request form online. 

You will be contacted by the Graduations Office with information about how to register for your graduation ceremony.
