Is that a slight chill in the air now that we’re into May and the autumn colours are getting our attention? We’re certainly at the business end of the semester now, so hoping you’re happily ticking off assignments and other tasks in the lead up to exams and a well earned rest. Enjoy engaging with the variety of pop-up and planned activities available on campus and online. No doubt the clubs and societies to which you belong will also be connecting with you. Climb a rock wall, grab some free food, sharpen up your dance routine, live the Star Wars life or take a reflective moment in the chapel – it’s all possible at ACU.
Sometimes, especially around exams and assessments, things go wrong, and life can get tough. But don’t despair, the ACU Student Advocacy Service is here for you. The advocacy services provide free and confidential support to help you with:
Concerns about final grades
Appealing an academic or administrative decision
Applying for special consideration
Show cause, at-risk or termination of enrolment
Lodging a formal complaint
Applying for a re-credit of units and refund of fees in special circumstances
UniSport Nationals Div 1 & 2 is getting closer which means it is time to trial for your sport! Trials will be held in selected sports only throughout Week 11 and 12. Check out the ACU Life Group or email team.acu@acu.edu.au for more information on the time and location of Sydney trials. Be sure to complete the EOI form so that we are aware of your playing experience before attending trials.
Theology Hour
What is Theology Hour? Theology Hour was established from the depths of a conversation talking about allowing young people space at the table as they are, with no need to justify or rise to expectations of who they should be according to other people. Join us at our next instalment of Theology Hour with Catholic Youth Parramatta on Friday 13 May from 6:30pm to explore the topic of Friendships. Any questions? Contact: madeline.forde@acu.edu.au
