Mission Week

Week 5 is Mission Week with the theme “We are ACU”. Mission Week is an opportunity for the ACU community to celebrate what drives us and what’s at the heart of everything we do at ACU. We’ll do this by hosting a variety of fun events with food stalls, guest speakers, giveaways. Join us for Mission Week and discover the heart of ACU. Come see us at the Mission Day Festival on Wednesday in Forbes.

Sustainability Week

During Week 6, ACU is celebrating sustainability. Pick some fresh fruit with Enviormonday to start your week off on the right foot. A simple measure towards sustainable living is the recycling of clothes and sharing new and old with friends and family. Celebrate the sharing of goods with our Community Closet on Wednesday. If you would like to be involved with Sustainability Week, please reach out to studentlife.ballarat@acu.edu.au to find out more.

Join STEPtember and support a great cause

We're rallying together again this year to join the STEPtember campaign and make a real difference. Starting 1 September, we'll be stepping up our game to raise funds for a great cause. Prizes for our weekly highest steppers on every campus and major prizes for the top two highest steppers from Team ACU. Click here to join.

Know your rights in a share house

Living in a shared house is enjoyable, but safeguarding your rights as a tenant is crucial. Co-renting with multiple people entails shared costs and duties. In private rentals, secure a detailed lease specifying rent, utilities, lease duration, maintenance, leaving early terms, and eviction scenarios.  Sub-letting, allowing others to rent your place, is legal in Australia with landlord consent. If you need tenancy support, contact ACU’s Rental Advisory Service.
